Signs of a Clogged or Partially Clogged Sewer or Drain

·         Slow running or blocked drains.

·         Toilets won’t flush properly.

·         Bubbling or gurgling sounds when toilets are flushed coming from sinks, baths, or showers.

·         Sewer smell coming from drains after using the dishwasher and/or washing machines.

These are the most common signs of a clogged sewer and require immediate attention.  If you are uncertain, the Monroe Township Utility Department can help assist and guide you.  Call (732)-521-1700.

Do you have a rider policy on your homeowner’s insurance to cover sewer back-up?  You should check with your policy and consider the costs/benefits of adding this to your policy.
